What is real world project based learning and why is it good for new programmers?

At Afghan Geeks, we believe in learning by doing through our Code4Her program. As you immerse yourself in the curriculum, you'll gain hands-on experience by working on real-world projects. From cloning platforms like Medium to exploring cutting-edge technologies, our approach ensures you build both your portfolio and your skill set in a practical way.

Real world project-based learning is beneficial for new programmers because it provides practical experience, enhances problem-solving skills, and helps in understanding the application of theoretical knowledge. It also boosts confidence and prepares them for real job scenarios

Empowering Afghan girls through technology education and hands-on project experience

Murtaza Jafari – Founder & Mentor

With over 4 years of experience as a software developer and engineer, I founded Afghan Geeks in early 2023 with a mission to help Afghan youth, especially Afghan girls, break into the tech industry. I specialize in JavaScript, Next.js, React, Node.js, and Tailwind CSS. I am passionate about mentoring and believe in the power of hands-on learning through real projects.

This year, I've mentored several young Afghan girls, guiding them to build projects like Medium.com clones, helping them develop real-world skills and confidence to land their first jobs in tech.
